As part of the extension of Nomada Saldanha, the patio brief was to create a structure that would allow the customers to feel as if they were outside, but with all the commodities of being inside.
Being this a second phase of the project, our intention was to continue the look and feel of a Japanese fusion restaurant.
Starting from the idea of creating a Japanese tea house, overlooking a beautiful garden, we designed a wood envelop made out of overlapping wood pieces that granulate from a structural point of view to an ornament.
The result is a warm, natural space filled with daylight that contrasts with the green restaurant interior, framing the view from inside out in golden hues.
